Promoting Careers in Wood
Earlier this year, the Wood Industry Resource Collaborative (WIRC) announced the “launch of their industry-wide career awareness campaign, “You Wood.” Geared to communicate wood industry career pathways and attract new talent,” the campaign is focused on two audiences: high school students and those seeking a career change, including military veterans.
Serving as a portal for information seekers is the “You Wood” website, https://youwood.com. Aiming to increase industry awareness and attract future workers, the site provides “career resource information, including profiles of high-demand positions, career quizzes, links to educational resources like schools and scholarships, industry information, an events calendar” and more.
You too can spread the word about careers in the wood industry by:
- Featuring the “YouWood” website in your company newsletters.
- Adding the “YouWood” site to your website as an industry resource.
- Following and sharing “YouWood” social accounts and posts.
- Visiting https://youwood.com to learn more.
