Panel on Sustainable Home Trends includes HMA's Linda Jovanovich
For years, HMA has collaborated with the New York City chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA). Why? Well, as the “voice” of the furnishings and design industry, IFDA is a key influencer with designers and architects, and an excellent information conduit for our Hardwood message and HMA’s overall Educational/Promotional efforts.
Earlier this year, IFDA asked HMA’s Executive Vice President, Linda Jovanovich, to participate on a panel regarding “Home Trends in Sustainability for 2021.” Along with IFDA, the virtual discussion was co-sponsored and conducted by NY NOW - a curator of the most design-forward brands in the industry - and moderated by trend analyst, designer and interior artist, Garette Johnson of Garrott Designs.
Joining Linda on the panel were design influencers, Ivan Hull and Libby Langdon.
- Ivan Hull, owner and creator of Acorn Export Inc., has worked with leading designers and artisans from around the world creating products for the U.S. market for four decades. (Acorn's newest products are recycled oak platters originating from used wine barrels.)
- Libby Langdon is an interior designer, author, product designer and makeover television personality, as well as the creative force behind New York City–based design firm, Libby Interiors, Inc.
The panel discussion is available on YouTube, here. Tune in. It was a great forum for touting the environmental and well-being benefits of products made from American hardwoods. And Linda, you did a great job!
