National Conference and Expo Agenda
Later this month, our members and many other industry stakeholders will be gathering in Austin for HMA’s 2021 National Conference and Expo. Themed “Resilience,” the line-up of business sessions is over-the-top, and the venue great for networking. Your participation would simply take the event to the next level.
The Conference kicks off at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, with an Opening Reception and Expo at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The Expo is a sell-out. (Hello industry suppliers!) And did we mention that the Southern Cypress Manufacturers Association (SCMA), conducting its annual meeting in conjunction with HMA’s annual event, will also be on property?
The Conference’s Thursday/Friday Business Sessions will be a mix of in-person and virtual presentations.
- Thomas Brush, consultant/coach and founder of Advancement Designs, will conduct an interactive workshop, “Being Clear on What is Real: An Overlooked Pathway to Resilience,” exploring overlooked pathways to achieve success.
- In a presentation entitled, “Moving Forward,” ITR Economics™ Senior Forecaster, Connor Lokar will be analyzing the current economic landscape; discussing the unintended consequences and impact of the massive stimulus programs; and presenting clear, actionable Management Objectives right for the years ahead.
- Joshua and Jacob Pribanic, co-founders of LastLine Cyber, Inc. will take on “The Scary Truth About Cybercrime,” as they identify ways to avoid cyber-attacks, and provide guidance regarding implementing a cyber security strategy. (You’ll not want to miss this!)
- Mike Snow, Executive Director of the American Hardwood Export Council, promises to provide a Global Markets Update. Judd Johnson, Hardwood Market Report Editor, will be discussing the domestic hardwood landscape. Hardwood Federation Executive Director and industry advocate, Dana Cole, will be updating us all regarding what’s on the horizon in our nation’s capital. And plan on hearing from the Real American Hardwood Coalition regarding ‘what’s next’ with this wonderful initiative.
So, if your calendar just opened up, join us in Austin. After such a trying year, being out and about with industry colleagues and friends is just what the doctor ordered. Don't miss this!
